  3. Q. Can I use a different exposure than the manufacturer’s recommended maximum?

    A. Exceeding the manufacturer’s recommended maximum exposure usually invalidates any available warranty. This may also cause curling and buckling with your shakes and shingles. It is highly recommended that you stay below the manufacturer’s recommendation. You may use an exposure that is less, but remember to recalculate your coverage or you will end up short on material.

  4. Q. Why How do I choose between shakes and shingles?

    A. Shingles and shakes have a different appearance. Shingles provide a slimmer profile and shadow line, and are considered to have a cleaner and more tailored look than shakes. Shakes are used when a person prefers a heavier profile and shadow line. Hand-split also shakes have a more rustic and looser appearance than shingles.

  8. Q. Does Tree Products Direct ship to residences? How does that work?

    A. Yes. A residential delivery is considered completed once the product is placed on the driveway. Some products require a vehicle with a lift-gate, depending on weight. The pallets would be lowered to the ground and pulled onto your driveway with a pallet-jack. You may be required to unload the vehicle yourself, depending on the product. Building materials are heavy and will require proper equipment or labor to accept goods on delivery. All shipping options are located in the shopping cart.
